Quality isn’t cheap and cheap isn’t quality!

Did you know:

Female dogs don’t always deliver naturally and many require C-sections. They can cost up to $3500.

Testing must be done to determine breeding times and date for possible C-section you can repeat 1-5 times to determine this at $70-$150 each. (I just had to do this 5 times recently.)

Not all breedings are natural and you can pay $100-$800 for AI or surgical AI. (Yes I have paid $800.)

Most breeders confirm pregnancy via ultrasound and / or x-ray. Not cheap.

Moms go home on antibiotics and pain meds and often puppies are sent home with antibiotics.

Your breeder may have to administer IV fluids, colostrum, and may have to bottle feed or supplement through tube, sponge feeding, or syringe feeding.

Your breeder is on lock down for days to weeks after delivery.

Your breeder does not allow visitors because breeders have been killed and puppies have been stolen. Not to mention we don’t want to give our address out to every potential buyer, several of us have children. Also, visitors can bring Parvovirus into the house which could wipe out litters. It’s not that breeders are “hiding” their dogs or condition of their homes or kennels.

Did you know several breeders health test and these tests are not free?

Did you know many breeders show their dogs and the fees can be hundreds to several thousands to finish a dog/bitch?

Your breeder loves and takes care of your puppy and wants a home for them that is financially secure as they want their puppies to receive all the care they need. Thus the questions and the long contract (that we expect you to follow no matter what).

Did you know that for every person that buys a puppy your breeder has touched base with at least 100 other folks who have no intention or means to buy a puppy?

Did you know your breeder does endless loads of laundry a day! Cleans puppy areas etc. to keep your puppy healthy. Spends several hours from morning until night with the dogs. (several middle of the night wake ups too).

Did you know your breeder rarely vacations (or stresses when they do) and misses many family events? Their entire family sacrifices for you to have that gorgeous puppy.

Did you know your breeder has researched the breed and spent hours, days, months, and years trying to give you the perfect puppy? This includes evaluating pedigrees, vets, studs, etc. Unfortunately, not every puppy ends up perfect but we strive for happy, healthy puppies.

Did you know that your breeder has a plan A B and C for every birth?

Did you know your breeder hand delivers many puppies or works with a puppy nanny (a special person to fly with your puppy and hand deliver for your breeder) to get your puppy to you?

Did you know your breeder considers no question dumb and is available for a life time of support? And receives several messages daily even if it’s just a beautiful puppy picture or video, which are more difficult to get than you would believe.

Did you know breeders have feelings? Breeding can be extremely stressful please be kind, patient, and understanding. Several breeders I know have anxiety and rude or demanding buyers can make this much worse.

Did you know this is not a get rich quick scheme! Puppies die and we mourn the loss of every single one. ❣️

Your breeder is offended when you ask for a cheap puppy! And should be!
